Dear Pine Hills Neighbors,

For more than 25 years, Howard Shook has been our Atlanta District 7 City Councilman, and he has been a champion for single-family neighborhoods and a responsive friend to Pine Hills.  Howard Shook is retiring and will not seek re-election.   Your vote will help to determine who will represent Pine Hills and District 7 in the upcoming election.

Five candidates have qualified to run for the Atlanta District 7 seat.  They are (in alphabetical order):

• Jamie Christy (jamiechristy.com)
• Allen Daly (allendaly.com)
• Thad Flowers (thadflowers.com)
• Rebecca King (voterebeccaking.com)
• Thomas Worthy (worthyforatlanta.com)

All five have accepted PHNA’s invitation to participate in the Pine Hills District 7 Candidate’s Forum on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 7 PM to 8:30 PM at Skyland Trail Conference and Training Center, 1961 N. Druid Hills RD 30329.  Doors will open at 6:30 pm.

Our own PHNA At-Large Board Member and NPU-B Chair, Nancy Bliwise, will moderate the 90 minute Q & A format.  Do you have a question for the candidates?  Do you want to know where they stand on a specific issue?  Send your question to info@mypinehills.org!

PHNA thanks Skyland Trail for hosting us, and we give special thanks to Pine Hills resident, Keith Loewy, for his outstanding production assistance.  Get to know the candidates, stay informed, and make your vote count!  See you on October 6^th at 7 pm at Skyland Trail.
